When is DESTINY coming out…and Q&A with P.T.

One of the most often “searched” phrases to my website lately is: When is DESTINY (Brightest Kind of Darkness, Book 3) coming out? so I thought I’d address it here on the blog too.

In case you didn’t see my announcement it on my P.T. Michelle Facebook page (er, by the way…why aren’t you following me there? Please LIKE and then add me to your interests list ) DESTINY’s release has been pushed back to May 31st.

Here’s what I posted on my Facebook page…

DESTINY release update:

Hi everyone. I wanted to update you on DESTINY. The release date of March 31 is getting pushed back a couple months to May 31. I didn’t expect that I’d be moving again so soon, but I am. This isn’t a small move from one state to another (ha, is there ever really such a thing?), but it’s an across-the-pond BIG move. Er, and now there’s language lessons thrown in as well. Um, yeah…it’s kind of important to understand what’s being said, even for simple things like which train stop is mine. All the crazy things involved with moving will take away from writing time, but DESTINY takes priority. What this means is my on-line time will be very limited so that I can meet this new deadline. I hope you understand. I want to get DESTINY to you, but I also don’t want to rush the book and give you less than my very best.

I’m picking a time once a week to be on-line, which will be on a Monday from 3-4pm EST. During that hour each week I’ll put up a new Q&A on my Facebook page here and if anyone has questions, wants to ask anything. I’ll be around to answer. I’ll also respond to any questions that have been posted throughout the week, etc during that allotted time. This is the only way I’ll get DESTINY done with everything else I have going on.

Hugs and thank you all for your patience!

I hope you’ll join me on my FB page. Two Q&As have already happened here and here. In one of the Q&As, you’ll get some juicy background on ETHAN (slight spoilers if you haven’t read ETHAN, but more insight if you have read it. 😉 and some inside scoop on DESTINY too ). The next Q&A will be Monday 3/18 (3-4 pm EST). Come ready to ask questions! It can be anything from the BRIGHTEST KIND OF DARKNESS series questions to my other books to writing in general. 🙂

In the meantime, in case you missed the blog post WHEN SHOULD YOU READ ETHAN? Ethanthat’s here. If you haven’t read ETHAN, I highly recommend reading it before DESTINY comes out. Plus, who doesn’t want to read a whole novella from Ethan’s point-of-view? *g*

I hope to see you at the next Q&A!

Best,

P.T.

When should you read ETHAN?

ETHANWhen I wrote ETHAN (the novella prequel to BRIGHTEST KIND OF DARKNESS) it was with the intention of creating a story that would provide some new information to readers who’ve already read BRIGHTEST KIND OF DARKNESS (book 1) and LUCID (book 2), yet at the same time this novella wouldn’t give any spoilers away to those who are new to the series. I tried very hard to accomplish that, which turned out to be quite the challenge. Do you have any idea how hard it is to write a prequel to a series full of mystery elements and NOT give things away for the books that already exist? *blinks with wide eyes* It ain’t easy-peasy, lemme tell ya! 🙂

For those of you who’ve already read BRIGHTEST KIND OF DARKNESS and LUCID, you’re probably wondering if you should bother to read ETHAN (prequel novella to BKoD).  First, ETHAN’s entirely in Ethan’s P.O.V. <–Definite bonus! Second, did you know music plays a role in Ethan’s life? Do you know the real reason why Ethan doesn’t carry a cell phone? Did you know Ethan was involved in Nara’s life way before they actually met in BRIGHTEST KIND OF DARKNESS? You’ll learn all that and much more in ETHAN, so yeah, I’d say it’s worth a read, especially since it will help lead you into the things that’ll happen in DESTINY.

P.S. ETHAN will pull at the heartstrings. Grab a tissue. 🙂

ETHAN (Brightest Kind of Darkness Prequel, #0.5) is now available!

EthanETHAN, Brightest Kind of Darkness, Novella 0.5
(a BKoD PREQUEL)*

NOW AVAILABLE!
Summary

Ethan Harris never thought monsters and darkness would consume his daily thoughts, but every night the same visions repeat in his dreams. He’s careful to project a semblance of normalcy, keeping the suffocating darkness locked inside. As much as he wishes he could focus on girls, sports, and cars like other seventeen-year-olds, nothing distracts him from his own demons or shines through.

Until Nara Collins crosses his path. The blonde fascinates and intrigues him, giving him a measure of peace he’s never felt before.

When Ethan discovers there’s more to Nara than she allows others to see, that she might have a unique secret of her own, suddenly his world comes into focus.

* Note: Ethan is a novella prequel to Brightest Kind of Darkness, but since this story is written from Ethan’s point-of-view, it can be read before or after BKoD and LUCID. This story will give some of Ethan’s background and lead up until the day he and Nara talk for the first time in the parking lot about the bomb at their school.

What readers are saying about ETHAN…

“…Ethan is a fantastic edition to the BRIGHTEST KIND OF DARKNESS series, and can be read before you start the series, or at any point during it. Don’t miss this look into Ethan’s mind and heart…” Love is Not a Triangle

“…Overall I found this to be a fantastic prequel to set up the events for Brightest Kind of Darkness. I love being given insight to Ethan’s character and history and what influences that have lead him to become the person that he is. The novella cohesively brings together answers to any questions that readers might have had in the first book regarding Ethan, while elaborating on some topics that may have been briefly spoken about in the first book. I loved it and I will be anxiously awaiting DESTINY!” Jennifer, Goodreads

“…This story made me appreciate the characters I had already been introduced to all the more, while still leaving me wanting to explore deeper into these complex and compelling characters, a talent which will see me lining up for the coming Destiny, book three in the BKoD series, and anything else Ms. Michelle would like to grace us with.” A Bookish Compulsion

“…a lot is packed into ETHAN and if you’re a big softy like me make sure you have some tissues handy. Once I started reading I couldn’t put it down and balled like a big ol’ baby over one particularly emotionally gripping scene. The wait for DESTINY is going to be difficult. Fans of the series, don’t miss it! New to the series? This is a great place to start but could be read after the first two novels without conflict.” RhiReading
